Movers by Design

Exercise is Optional, Movement is Essential

A movement and exercise class that focuses on functional movement and the design of the body.

Class material and exercises are drawn from:

Pilates Matwork, Klein Technique, Functional Anatomy, Alexander Technique

Moving and exercising from an awareness of the design and anatomy of the body: removing unnecessary tension and effort: becoming present with yourself:  moving with as much efficiency and intelligence as possible.

Directions to the dance studio:

Walk to no 69 Abel Smith Street which is the building next to Toi Poneke Arts Centre. The building has a big green door and a sign (look up high) right at the top saying Wellington Education Board. (its also the home of DANZ). Go up the steps and enter through the double green doors. After entering the building go through another set of double doors straight ahead of you. Turn to the right and follow the hallway past the kitchen to the dance studio at the end.
